ABOUT US

“Visegrad Europe. Central European Journal” is a peer-reviewed quarterly which was established in 2018 by a group of researchers specializing in Central European issues. The journal publishes scientific articles in history, politics, economics and culture as well as essays focusing on socio-cultural phenomena of the countries and the regions situated in the heart of the European continent. Our journal is a continuation of a special edition “Visegrad Europe” published as a supplement to “Contemporary Europe” by the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2012.

We are inviting our colleagues — historians, culturologists, political scientists, economists, diplomats and philosophers who know and love Central Europe, to which they have devoted their professional career, to write for our quarterly.

We will be glad to see among our authors our Central European colleagues who would like to share with us their knowledge about their countries and region, thoughts about relations between our countries as well as about relations of their countries with other world players. We shall also write about the neighbors of the Visegrad countries – Balkan, Baltic and Eastern European regions, as well as on the V4 neighbors to the West. We hope that our journal will be interesting to you and you will join the discussion on its pages.
